Well as it turns out, Brittney Spears is a fan of Radiohead. Before your world is rocked too hard, look at this picture:

Oh PHEW we are saved! She’s got Pablo Honey in her hand. I no longer feel the need to burn my two copies of Kid A.
In other radiohead news, the UK’s Channel4 poll voted OK Computer as the #1 greatest album of all time. Consequently, days later, OK Computer jumped hundreds of spots to shoot back up to a #4 sales position on the charts. Which is funny. Maybe people needed to be reminded how good of an album it really is? Who knows.

I’m seriously disturbed… my musical sense feels violated…
Yeah, but like I said… at least its pablo honey, the undisputed WORST RADIOHEAD ALBUM EVER. Which means its pretty good for mostly mindless early 90’s guitar rock.
oh well, the nazis worshiped wagner. haha there’s some violation. but obviously they missed the point of the operas, so happiness all around. it would be funny though if you were controlled enough by spears to burn cds that you love.
you know, i just realized how much i appreciate your intense narcissism in having a blog. i don’t know that i’m that brave. good work, i look up to you. maybe some day i’ll have one too.
funny? more like… tragic. And probably shallow.
I read a kinda neat interview with Dave Matthew, because apparently he worships radiohead (as do I). I used to like Dave Matthew quite a bit. Now I’m sorta miffed the downplay their most distinctive traits, I think. But love or hate DMB, this quote will surely whet your appetite:
“My reaction to Radiohead isn’t as simple as jealousy. Jealousy just burns; Radiohead infuriate me.” – Dave Matthews.

HAHAHAHAHA oh narcissism. Yes. For as self-loathing as I am, I am also very self-centered. I can’t figure that one out. I really don’t know why i have this thing. I think maybe I just want to remember thoughts or something, but then i tried to morph it into an online artistic commune/critique area, and now its like aesthetic philosophy central.
I would be very interested in what you would say if you had a blog, sgawtd. As long as it doesn’t take away from your presence here, that is… Another good thought provoking blog (if you are interested) is that of the one and only Kate Netzler (http://www.xanga.com/home.aspx?user=kateness1). Not updated at a breakneck pace, yet the amount of excitement for ideas she has is inspiring in and of itself. Plus she looks like a stegosaurus, so that must count for something.
Its all the blanket. Here is where I tie it all together. Witness and be amazed:
Radiohead -> Idioteque (a song from Kid A) -> sampled computer music part from Paul Lansky’s “Mild und Leise” piece from 1975 -> Based on Wagner’s “tristan” chord -> who the nazis worshipped -> who understood about as much about his music as Britney does about RH, presumably.
And dang if you looked at that photoset… why people find her attractive is now beyond me. That dress with the jean shorts was a bad idea from the get-go.
